As one of the shortest models working in NYC, I do not live and die by America's Next Top Model, but the underdog appeal of Cycle 13's contestants appealed to me.

It isn't easy being a short model even without Tyra's photo challenges, and overall I think the girls cry way too much on the show. However, watching the show's premiere and first episode inspired many questions from me, such as: How much could this short model stampede affect the fashion trends world, if at all? Will Tyra involve any print modeling aspects into the show?

When the girls are kicked of, what will happen to them? Will they give up, thinking they truly are too short to try to work with modeling agencies afterward, or will we hear of these girls again?

For a shorter beauty skin girl it is important to know how to stretch your body in a natural way and angle your legs and arms so that you appear long, lean, and proportioned. For the first photo challenge I thought Rae, with her angelic pose as a ballerina, showed her legs and proportioned body off well.

Her short hair makeover is just whispering "hair ad!" So you might not be giraffe tall, but if you have strong facial features, there is print work and editorial modeling that awaits. Modeling is more than the runway, and more than high fashion ad campaigns. Many cosmetic brands, hair brands, and skin care beauty apparel wear brands use all types of models.

I stress that an aspiring model should have a very nice new beauty shot, an energetic smiling shot, and shots from the waist up that show off your great smile, eyes, lips, and hair.

IN JANUARY, Warner Bros and producer Dan Lin announced plans to relaunch the Tomb Raider series.

Lin has now elaborated on the proposed reboot. He told About.com: "It's a great origin story that we're going to tell. A very character-oriented, I would say more american actress realistic, [film] than the past Lara Croft movies.

For more than a year, I've been writing about my cooking and eating habits in the "Muscle Chow" column. I used to get asked about exercises. Now it's questions like "Did you ever cheat, or have you always eaten healthy food perfectly?" Well, sure I've cheated. How would I know what good eating is if I'd never eaten badly?

I had a healthy food start, though. Growing up, we never had cookies in the house, we never snacked on chips or sugary cereals, and soda wasn't allowed past the front door. My parents introduced tons of healthy foods into my life -- and I'm doing the same for my kids.

I never knew our model family was different until I saw the cookie jar on the counter one day at my grade-school friend Vince's house. "You mean you can take a cookie whenever you want?" And yes, I headed for that cookie jar every time I went to Vince's. My parents' strict approach to food meant I could afford -- and savor -- such a treat.

When I began training and competing in teen models bodybuilding contests, I realized that my diet was my best edge on the competition. Over the years, I've learned which foods accelerate or slow my gains. I think the right nutritional strategy can help any man build the body he wants. But, as I've said, that's only the first question.

There are plenty more, like the ones on these pages, which I've received through MensHealth.com since I started writing the column. So here are my answers -- healthy-eating tips you need to know about creating a fashion model meal plan.

Is there a secret to your meal plan? Most popular famous model Anna Jagodzinska says,My diet revolves around protein intake. It's the touchstone that determines how many carbohydrates I'll eat in a given meal or snack. I stick to white-meat animal proteins like chicken (canned or regular), fish (including canned tuna and sardines), turkey breast, shrimp, oysters, and lobster. African American men should try different methods of hair removal if they suffer with ingrown new beuaty hairs, which are also called razor bumps. Shaving with a special type of safety razor that does not permit a very close shave may help.

That’s pretty much how Mr. Jacobs exerts his influence on fashion. And there’s nothing cold or calculated about the process. We’re not talking Big Fasha here. Mr. Jacobs, who, unlike the majority of designers, lacks a sense of danger, just imagines what top actress or women are willing to wear next, and then fearlessly goes for it.

His spring collection of Kim Cloutier fashion, shown on Monday night, has combinations of ruffled dresses and plain cotton shirts, or tailored jackets with frilled silk shorts or pantaloon trousers. There’s a surfeit of ruffles, and many of the outfits include the pale leggings (loose-fitting, like a pair of Grandma’s nylons) and an exposed bra or satin corset.

It sounds pretty dreadful, on the face of it. Grandma’s hose? Dresses gobbed with stiff ruffles? A leering brassiere? What will Mr. Jacobs think of next? But if you consider the contemporary silhouette of lean legs and an oversize or asymmetrical top, and then add some fresh highlights, you can better make out what Mr. Jacobs is doing.

Some of the most interesting amateur galleries of fashion of the last decade and a half, like a lot of 20th-century arts, employs extreme contrasts, but it can also lend depth and new layers to existing shapes. Mr. Jacobs was really expanding upon the current silhouette.

Among the more striking pieces in his fashion modeling show were the jackets, which in navy pinstripes and army green had a pleasant formality. As it is, a cropped masculine jacket in a black and silver jacquard has a certain bravado; you don’t have to go with the ruffled silk shorts, which look like tap pants.

In September Lancôme will launch Absolue Precious Cells, its first anti-ageing cream that it claims will “help restore the potential of skin care tips stem cells and bring back the skin of youth”. The cream, selling for up to £145 for 50ml, joins a range of expensive stem-cell products that have come on the market recently. But can these preparations deliver on their promises? And are there any health risks?

The reality, however, is that products available in UK shops do not actually contain stem cells, or even parts of stem cells. Under European law, it is illegal for cosmetics sold in the UK to contain human tissue or human-tissue extracts. In fact, almost all new beauty products have nothing to do with controversial embryonic stem cells. Instead they encourage the growth of a more humble type of stem cell that exists in all adults and has the potential to produce new skin.

Dr Jeanette Jacknin, an American dermatologist who specialises in anti-ageing treatments, says that it is impossible to incorporate living stem cells into beauty skin creams because the cells degenerate. “Instead companies are creating products with specialised peptides [made from amino acids] and enzymes [proteins that speed up chemical reactions] or plant stem cells, which they claim help to protect the human skin stem cells from damage or stimulate the skin’s own stem cells.”

Another “stem cell” cosmetic now on the market is Amatokin Emulsion (£135 for 30ml), launched in 2007 to a waiting list of 250 Harvey Nichols search model customers tantalised by its claims to be able to “awaken the body’s own reservoir of stem cells”. Then there is ReVive’s Peau Magnifique, available from SpaceNK (£888 for a month’s supply), with patented ingredients that “convert resting adult stem cells to fresh newly minted cells for a firmer, more defined appearance”.

Dior claims that its Capture XP anti-ageing cream “works on search model skin stem cells to better repair wrinkles”. Or how about Emerge Swiss Apple Stem Cell Serum (available online for $120), which “promotes the self-renewal capacity of the skin”?

Chris Flower, director of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association, the industry trade body, says that there is “huge potential for confusion”. Blissfully unaware, Joy begins living it up as only she can - spending day and night soaking in the questionable spa and indulging in "Old British" 40's while keeping pickles on her eyes. Her life of luxury ends pretty abruptly though when Nadine Velazquez finds her big toe has become, well, a big toe.

As luck would have it, Joy was actually soaking in a flesh-eating bacteria broth, courtesy of the aforementioned homeless man. I don't think I've ever seen Darnell ( Eddie Steeples) more disgusted with anything else. If the Crabman is anything, he's patient, which is why I got such a kick out of seeing him so distraught over the sight of Joy's increasingly large, infectious toe. He did a lot to make sure like bollywood the disease didn't spread, but the funniest was when he left to "go make ice tea," but actually started boiling his clothes on the stove top. I honestly wasn't too surprised when he finally confined Joy to a sterile plastic bubble in the living room.

To make up for everything, Earl agrees to "be Joy" while she's in the bubble, and at one point, she tells Earl that the kids, Dodge and Earl Jr., don't have any models friends. An unbelieving Earl investigates, only to discover that the children are being ostracized because of Joy - all of the other parents pretty much hate her. From here on out, the rest of the episode is more or less one big montage of Pressly being hysterically funny. First, there are the scenes of her being a bad influence on the other parents' children. But when Earl reveals that Dodge and Earl Jr. are at a party with the other kids and that she was the reason they didn't have any friends, things really kicked into high gear. She jumps in Earl's car with the soundtrack blasting Heart's "Barracuda." When Earl cries "Don't do it!!" american actress screams "Oh, it's gonna be did!" Driving feverishly to the park, Joy imagines all of the havoc she'll wreak - in her mind, she runs over presents, stabs the moonbounce, and generally runs amok.

But if there's one thing we know about Joy, it's that she cares about her kids. She's a good mom, and the only person who occasionally needs a reminder of that is Joy herself. Joy's realization that her children and models may have been judged for mistakes she had made and Earl's gentle reassurance that she's a caring mother provided the emotional payday that most great Earl episodes are known for. I've mentioned it before, but this show's ability to consistently deliver a worthwhile "lesson" at the end, after all of its politically incorrect humor and without a hint of irony, is something that doesn't cease to impress me.

The second half of our little double feature included a guest spot by Jerry Van Dyke, who looked to be enjoying his role as Jerry, a Korean War veteran whose RV had been stolen, and then blown up, by Earl, Randy ( Ethan Suplee) and Joy. Well, the blame for the explosion is pretty much all on Randy, but I suppose that's neither here nor there.

"This should be a lesson about trying to kill people when you're over 60," Earl finds himself saying as american actress Jerry and Joe have a showdown due to Jerry's desire to cut off Joe's other ear. However, a lesson in friendship is eventually learned as both have heart attacks, and Joe gives his only life-saving pill to Jerry to make up for abandoning him all those years ago. Thankfully, both end up surviving.

In my opinion, though, this episode's best aspect was its subplot involving Joy's hunt for and capture of Pigsquatch. First off, that's just plain fun to say. But when they figure out that the large, prehistoric pig has died and Joy leans on it only to have her arms sink like bollywood in to its carcass? I think my jaw must've broke some sort of speed record - I didn't know it could drop that fast.

Well, for the second week, with two storylines to tackle and only one blog, I'm probably missing quite a few details. Let's try to take care of that with some memorable quotes. And don't forget to share your favorite moments too.

I think the relationship did its time. We’re both very young models and have demanding careers which require a lot of attention at this stage. I feel love can wait, but my career won’t.
